About Andrew
For all of high school and my 2 years at community college, I have spent many hours working and tutoring many students who wanted to pursue a college degree in STEM.
In high school, my main focus for tutoring was Math. I participated in the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics(ICTM) Math competition for all 4 years in high school. I studied with a small home-schooled co-op that was participating and was my main club for high school. We would tutor each other to prepare for the competition. For all 4 years from 2019-2022, we continued to win 1st place, even against other college prep schools.
In my 2 years of community college, I began focusing more on engineering and the sciences. I began tutoring for Chemistry, Physics, and Math classes specifically for engineers. This enhanced my ability to tutor because I got to work with over 100 students. Some had disabilities and others aspired to be tutors. Working or volunteering, I was always ready/excited to tutor.

I focus on helping students thoroughly understand Math, Chemistry, and Physics by tailoring lessons to their learning styles and using real-world examples. In each tutoring session, we review past material, introduce new topics, and work through problems together. I emphasize understanding the 'why' behind concepts and focus on developing strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
My tutoring is ideal for high school students and those in introductory college courses. Whether you're preparing for exams or seeking to strengthen your grasp of the material, I can support students every step of the way.
