About Jack
I've recently completed my degree at the University of Warwick and am available for Maths (11+, GCSE) and Chemistry (KS3, GCSE, A Level) tuition in central Derby. My encouraging style helps students develop their problem solving ability, grow in confidence and find a path to achieve their potential.
I worked hard for my grades at school and invested in tuition to gain confidence towards my exams. Combined with my teaching experience, I provide personalised 1-2-1 tuition for my students. I also do 2-3 hour past paper and exam preparation sessions that are very helpful - particularly at A Level. I plan lessons and use my own resources to hone in on students' specific needs - whether that be calculations, a particular topic or general problem solving ability. My flexible and encouraging approach (as well as a young face!) helps students relate to me and meet their academic needs.
Ultimately, passing exams and achieving your given potential is about building confidence in your ability - I help students do that!
I am DBS certified and tutor from my home in central Derby. As an exception, I may be able to travel.
