Hi there, folks!
My philosophy on teaching revolves around a place-based working technique. The goal is to connect students with what is familiar to them in order to better engage with new material. I enjoy helping students see how their favorite everyday activities relate to all levels of science! Some of my favorite activities include exploring the Copper Cycle, Moving through Mole-ville, and the Life of Plastics (Hydrocarbons).
I have spent two years teaching high school biology and chemistry, along with one year teaching AP Environmental Science. In total, I have three years of experience teaching students in grades 7-12.
