About Kate
Hi, I’m Kate and I recently graduated from UCC with a degree in Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds. I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert Chemistry and have spent the last few years studying chemistry at university level.
I know chemistry can be a difficult subject at times because I’ve been through it myself. From the Leaving Cert to university exams, I’ve learned that understanding a topic properly makes a huge difference. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to start giving grinds and help students feel more confident in chemistry.

Hi, I’m Kate, a recent Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds graduate from UCC and I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert Chemistry.
I offer online grinds for Leaving Cert Chemistry, Junior Cycle Science and first year university chemistry.
My approach is focused on understanding rather than just learning things off. I believe that once you properly understand a topic, chemistry becomes much easier and you can apply your knowledge to any exam question, even ones you haven’t seen before.
Lessons are tailored to each student and can focus on topics you’re struggling with, revision, exam questions or improving exam technique.
I know from my own experience that chemistry can seem overwhelming at times. My goal is to break topics down into simple, manageable steps and help students understand the reasoning behind them, rather than just memorising information for an exam.
