My name is Naz and I'm a science educator and chemical engineer based in the Bay Area. I earned my BS in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University and am completing my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science this June. I have hands-on classroom experience teaching chemistry, physics, and physical science at both the middle and high school level across several Bay Area districts, including Palo Alto Unified, Cupertino Unified, and Mountain View Los Altos School District. My background in engineering gives me a deep content knowledge that helps students truly understand the "why" behind science concepts — not just memorize formulas. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with both general education and special education students, giving me the skills to adapt my teaching style to meet every learner's unique needs. I'm passionate about making science accessible and engaging for all learners — whether your student is struggling or wants to get ahead, I meet them where they are and help build real confidence in science. I'm bilingual in English and Farsi, so I can comfortably support Persian-speaking students and families in their native language.
