About Delilah

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Chemistry (MChem). My passion lies in helping students understand the complex chemistry of our atmosphere. I have successfully guided many students through topics like atmospheric chemistry and environmental pollution. From smog formation to ozone depletion, acid rain, and greenhouse gas effects, I make each concept clear and meaningful. My approach combines scientific accuracy with real-world relevance. I focus on the chemical reactions behind air quality issues and connect them to current climate concerns. Many of my students come from environmental science backgrounds or are pursuing careers in climate policy and sustainability. I help them link their chemistry knowledge to global challenges. I also support school and university students preparing for exams and assignments in environmental and physical chemistry. My sessions are interactive, thoughtful, and tailored to individual goals. I explain difficult processes with diagrams, examples, and case studies. Understanding the chemistry of our atmosphere is not just a subject—it's a responsibility. I enjoy helping learners see how small chemical changes impact our planet in big ways. Together, we make learning inspiring and purposeful. It’s a joy to explore the science that helps protect our environment.

My teaching approach in Chemistry is relaxed, interactive, and strongly application-based. I focus on making complex topics easy to understand through real-world examples and lab-related applications. I emphasize instrumental analysis, helping students connect theory with actual lab work. Whether it’s analytical chemistry, spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV-Vis), or chromatography, I simplify the concepts with visual tools and hands-on methods.

For students interested in laboratory careers, I ensure they grasp techniques like titrations, calibration curves, quantitative analysis, and data interpretation. I guide them step-by-step in understanding how instruments function and how results are analyzed. Special focus is given to accuracy, precision, and practical relevance.

I also support Geneticists and Microbiologists in understanding chemical processes that relate to their fields. Together, we explore biochemical reactions, solution preparation, and sterile techniques used in labs. My sessions are structured yet flexible, always focused on building confidence.

Students are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and learn through doing. Whether you're preparing for exams, writing assignments, or working in a lab, I help you achieve clarity and accuracy. My goal is to support every learner in excelling, not just in theory but also in practical skills. Chemistry becomes a tool you can use, not just study.
