About Anna

I have got a huge experience in playing chess. I started playing when I was six and I used to play in tournaments in Poland and abroad. My greatest achievements are:
- 1st place in European Amateur Chess Championship in group OPEN U2000 (Niksic 2018)
- 2nd place in European Amateur Chess Championship U2000 in women group (Rhodes 2019)
- 5th place in World School Chess Championship G17 (Iasi 2017)

Apart from participating in tournaments I am an experienced teacher. I have been a tutor since 2020 (also en English), between 2021 and 2024 I had been also tutoring groups of students in kindergartens and schools in Cracovia, where I had taught about 300 (sic!) students. Currently I work as a chess coach in Szkoła w Chmurze (it is a school in Poland dedicated to homeschooling).

But my life is not only chess! I am a Spanish Philology student on Jagiellonian University. Currently I'm on Erasmus in Almería (Costa del Sol in Spain). I speak fluently four languages (Polish, English, Spanish and Portuguese) and because of that I can use international resources to prepare every class!

About the lesson

My course is adjusted to the interests and needs of every student. I always try not to overwhelm my student with a piles of stuff, we would rather go step by step through every part of the game. We will not only learn oppenings, tactics, strategy and endgame patterns, but also practical knowledge through playing and analising your games. You will know the way of thinking of the chess champion! I also like adding to a classroom discourse anecdotes from my tournament practice, so while learning with me you will also have fun! I guarantee a nice atmosphere, you can always make mistakes, ask me to repeat until it makes sense to you… I am here to teach you and support your developement, to accompany you during your chess adventure! Offstage I love latino culture and I bet you'll notice it :) - because of that on my classes there are no stress or unhealthy preassure, your comfort and complacency are essential.

Apart from standard classes there is also a posibility of playing games and analysing them.
I can also prepare you for your games before and during chess tournaments!
