About Celine

I am a chess tutor with 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Psychology and Strategic Studies. My passion for chess comes from its unique combination of logic, creativity, and human psychology. Teaching chess allows me to guide students in developing sharper reasoning skills while also enjoying the beauty of strategic play. I work with learners who want to improve casually, compete seriously, or strengthen their thinking habits through chess.

My approach emphasizes understanding over memorization. I guide students in recognizing tactical motifs, evaluating positions with confidence, and building long-term plans rather than relying on guesswork. I also help learners develop emotional steadiness, because chess improvement requires patience after mistakes and resilience during difficult games. Many students discover that chess strengthens focus, discipline, and decision-making skills that extend far beyond the board.

Outside teaching, I continue studying chess through game analysis, strategic research, and exploration of cognitive learning methods. Watching students become more confident thinkers is deeply rewarding. My goal is to help you approach chess with curiosity, courage, and calm clarity. About the lesson

My chess lessons are designed to help students develop clear thinking, strong planning skills, and steady confidence in every game they play. Chess is often seen as intimidating, but I teach it as a step-by-step journey where understanding grows naturally through guidance and practice. We focus on the foundations of opening principles, tactical patterns, positional strategy, and endgame technique in a way that feels structured yet encouraging. Each session helps students recognize patterns, calculate with more clarity, and feel more comfortable making decisions at the board.

As students progress, we explore deeper concepts such as pawn structures, piece coordination, attack planning, and defensive resilience. Beginners learn how to build safe positions, spot basic tactics, and avoid common mistakes. Intermediate learners strengthen calculation habits, improve positional evaluation, and develop long-term strategic thinking. Advanced students work on tournament preparation, time management, psychological steadiness, and analysis of high-level games. I provide consistent feedback so learners understand not only what move is best, but why it works.

Chess teaches patience, emotional control, and intellectual resilience. My goal is to help students feel calm under pressure and confident in their ability to improve steadily. Over time, learners become sharper thinkers and more independent decision-makers. Each lesson builds mental clarity, focus, and strategic maturity.
