Perfect! Nazim is super passionate and really cares about your progression. It's easy to communicate and adjust with him.

I like that he takes the time before each session to look at your recent games and analyse them with you, it makes the teaching a lot more concrete for me.

We also take the time to check professional games and discuss how the game was played, he asks questions and sets up the board just like you would see in the Puzzle section of chess.com.

All and all, he's a great teacher with a lot of knowledge, very organized and fun to talk with.

Most definitely recommend!

Coach Nazim m'a aidé à comprendre l'importance du jeu positionnel et à mieux gérer mon développement pour éviter les erreurs classiques des débutants, comme bouger trop tôt ma dame ou négliger le contrôle du centre. Grâce à lui, mon jeu est devenu plus structuré, et je me sens prêt pour ma première compétition, le cœur léger. Merci coach !

At the beginning, I tended to rely too much on my minor pieces in the middle of the game, without really constructing a coherent plan. Coach Nazim helped me to understand the importance of positional play and to better manage my development to avoid the classic beginner's mistakes, such as moving my queen too early or neglecting control of the centre. Thanks to him, my game has become more structured, and I feel ready for my first competition with a light heart. Thanks coach!

1) When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I developed a keen interest in chess as soon as I discovered it at the age of 8. I loved the mix of strategy, creativity, and problem-solving. It was always a pleasure to play, and it was only natural that I wanted to do more!
2) What makes you passionate about your subject?
Chess has always had a special place in my heart. Seeing how unpopular it is and how little interest people around me have in it has always been a source of disappointment. I am very happy to contribute to the growth and sharing of chess in my own small way.
3) What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a “Superprof”?
I think what I appreciate most is seeing the impact I have on my students and how I help them. Beyond their Elo rating, what I find most rewarding is seeing them apply or refute the strategies/openings we work on together, and feeling their understanding of the game improve. I am also a chess enthusiast and remain very enthusiastic about learning new concepts for my students and exploring theoretical concepts with them in greater depth.
4) Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
A role model that inspired me is Kevin Bordi. Bordi is the #1 chess streamer worldwide. To say the least, he has come a long way. A talented chess enthusiast but without any official chess titles, Bordi started coaching and creating online chess content over 10 years ago! At a time when online chess content was almost non-existent, Kevin gradually built up his audience and contributed in part to the popularity of chess in the French-speaking world.
5) What are your keys to success?
I remain humble about my own progress and continue to be motivated by failure. I continue to question my game and my teaching, and I continue to learn and study famous games so that I can teach the best lessons possible. Above all, I remain motivated and passionate about what I teach.
