About Me
I am a passionate chess tutor with 3 years of teaching experience and 7 years of playing the game, including participation in multiple competitive tournaments. My hands-on experience both at the board and in the classroom gives me a unique perspective that I bring into every lesson. I can teach in two languages, English and Russian.
My Teaching Methodology
I combine modern, and traditional teaching practices with a personalized approach to make every lesson as efficient and enjoyable as possible. My methods are constantly evolving, and I regularly incorporate new techniques to keep lessons fresh, engaging and effective.
A Typical Lesson
Each session is structured around the student's individual needs and progress:
Chess Puzzles — We sharpen tactical vision through targeted puzzle-solving exercises
Openings — Students learn solid, reliable openings suited to their style
Middlegame Understanding — We develop strategic thinking and positional awareness
Endgame Solutions — I introduce the most common and essential endgame techniques
Game Analysis — We review the student's own games to identify inaccuracies, understand mistakes, and make sure they are not repeated
What Sets Me Apart
I have taught chess in schools, libraries, and online, giving me the ability to adapt to any learning environment. I bring tournament experience into my lessons, offering students real competitive insight. My goal is not just to teach moves — it is to help students think like chess players and genuinely fall in love with the game.
Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are designed for beginners to intermediate players of all ages who want to build a strong foundation or take their game to the next level.
