About Vivian
Hi! I’m a native Mandarin speaker who lived in China for 12 years before moving to Australia. I completed my primary education in China, giving me a strong foundation in reading, writing, grammar and pronunciation. I enjoy helping students gain confidence in Chinese, whether you’re learning for school, travel, work or personal interest. As someone who has experienced both Chinese and Australian education systems, I understand the challenges English speakers often face when learning Mandarin and can explain concepts in a clear and approachable way. I’m patient, encouraging, and happy to adapt lessons to each student’s goals and pace. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your speaking, reading or writing skills, I’d love to help you make steady progress.

My lessons are adaptable to your individual goals and current level. Beginners will build a strong foundation in pronunciation (Pinyin), everyday vocabulary, sentence structure and practical conversations. For more advanced students, I can help improve reading comprehension, writing, grammar and spoken fluency. I believe the best way to learn a language is through regular practice in a relaxed and supportive environment. Lessons include speaking, listening, reading and writing activities, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice what you’ve learned. I’m happy to teach students of all ages, from complete beginners to intermediate learners, and lessons are typically 60–90 minutes. Whether you’re learning Mandarin for school, travel, work or simply for fun, I’ll tailor each lesson to help you reach your goals with confidence.
