About Ali
Mathematics and physics at school were not always my strongest subjects and I like to think that this love/hate relationship challenged me to overcome my fear of maths/physics to finally understand how they are applied in the real world today.
This willingness to better understand these two vital subjects lead me to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering at Kingston University London, which is fundamentally built on mathematics and physics. After hard work, dedication and an on going passion for my subject field, I managed to achieve a 1st Class honours degree.
Now I currently work for an engineering firm who specialise in the the overhead transmission line industry. This role involves using engineering physics and mathematics to analytically conjure up solutions to a variety of problems in order to make sure the UK has speedy and efficient amounts of electricity to fuel our nation.

As a tutor I aspire to help the younger generation understand the most complex mathematics and physics problems by communicating with my students depending on their learning styles. Some people are visual learners, auditory learners or kinaesthetic learners. Therefore I will apply my teaching methodology upon identifying what type of learners my students are by monitoring each student individually and making them take a quiz to help them understand more about what type of learner they are.
