About Holly
Hi, my name is Holly, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Australia. I’ve been passionate about music for as long as I can remember. I started taking singing lessons when I was just 6 years old, and since then, music has always been a big part of my life. In addition to singing, I have basic knowledge of piano and ukulele, and I’ve even dabbled in playing the saxophone.
Growing up, music became my safe space. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, and music was what helped me feel calm and happy when everything else seemed overwhelming. It gave me something I could focus on, and it felt amazing to pick up skills so naturally through music.
Throughout my school years, I poured my heart into music, winning awards, performing on stage, and even using computers to compose and create my own songs. Music is more than just a hobby for me—it’s been my way of expressing myself, finding joy, and sharing something special with others. Now, I’m excited to help young children discover their own love for music through fun and interactive lessons!

I offer engaging and interactive online music lessons designed specifically for young children aged 4-8 years old. Each lesson is 35 minutes long, ideal for keeping young learners focused and excited while introducing them to the basics of music through fun, easy-to-follow activities. These sessions are tailored for the online environment, ensuring that children stay engaged and actively participate from home.
In these lessons, I focus on teaching the fundamentals of music through playful learning, using rhythm, melody, and basic instrument introductions to build a strong musical foundation. Here’s what we’ll cover:
• Rhythm: Using body percussion (clapping, tapping, stomping) and simple household items as instruments, we’ll practice rhythm games and exercises. These will help children understand how to recognize and follow a beat, which improves their timing and coordination.
• Melody: We’ll sing familiar songs like “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and “The ABC Song,” and I’ll demonstrate melodies using the ukulele or piano. The children will sing along with me, developing their ear for pitch and learning to follow simple melodies.
• Singing and Vocal Exercises: Fun vocal warm-ups and exercises will help children explore pitch, breathing, and vocal control. We’ll keep it light and playful to ensure that singing remains an enjoyable experience for them.
• Introduction to Instruments: I’ll demonstrate simple piano and ukulele techniques online, letting children get familiar with the instruments. If they have access to a keyboard or other simple instruments at home, I can guide them through playing basic notes and patterns.
• Musical Games and Activities: To maintain engagement, I’ll lead interactive games suited for the virtual setting, like “Clap the Rhythm” and “Move to the Beat.” These activities ensure children stay physically and mentally active during the lesson while reinforcing key musical concepts.
Online Lesson Setup:
Lessons will be conducted via video conferencing platforms like Zoom or Google Meet. I’ll use screen-sharing to show visual aids (such as rhythm patterns or note flashcards), and we’ll interact in real time, with plenty of individual guidance for each child. Parents are welcome to assist, especially for younger children who may need help staying focused.
These lessons are designed to lay the groundwork for future musical learning. However, as your child progresses and reaches a certain level of musical understanding, there will come a point when I may no longer be the best fit as their tutor. My experience is focused on working with younger children and introducing them to music in a fun, creative way, but as they advance and begin to require more technical instruction and formal theory, I’ll recommend transitioning to a more experienced teacher who specializes in older children or advanced learners. This will ensure they continue to grow musically at the right pace and level for their needs.
