About Matilde

My name is Matilde. I am an artist, an MBACP + MNCPS eclectic existential psychotherapist, a writer, a PhD researcher, and a paleophenomenologist.

My work moves through the spaces where creative practice, psyche, and the sacred meet. I am drawn to hidden connections, synchronicities, the uncanny, and the quietly mystical, approaching life with an alchemical eye for details and a shamanic sensibility that informs the way I mentor and supervise.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology & What to Expect

My methodology is integrative and process-driven. I work with postgraduate artists and art students who need a space where critical rigour, creative intuition, and reflective depth sit side by side. The aim is not to “correct” your work, but to help you recognise the underlying logic, momentum, and voice of your practice, and strengthen it.

A typical session begins with a clear focus: a brief to unpack, an exhibition to prepare, a body of work to articulate, or a theoretical strand that needs grounding in the act of making. We work through your material in dialogue. The conceptual meets the tactile; ideas are tested against practice; practice is clarified through thought.

The structure is fluid but intentional. We may move from analysing a research question, to tracing the trajectory of an emerging project, to refining the language you use to describe your work, to identifying what your process is actually doing beneath the surface. The session becomes a reflective container where you see your work more sharply and understand how to move it forward.

What makes this approach different is the combination of academic clarity, therapeutic presence, and a lived understanding of creative practice. It is supervision, mentoring, coaching, and philosophical enquiry in one place > all directed toward helping you articulate your work, deepen it, and stand inside it with confidence.

This is work for people who want to engage seriously with their practice.
