About Leslei
I am a tutor with 10 years of experience in tutoring/ teaching. I am experienced in working with students who are ESL/ELL learners and students who require special needs (ASD, ADHD, dsylexia.etc). My background is in special education and speech therapy. I am highly experienced in helping students who require extra support in learning or understanding mathematical concepts. I specialize in Math Direct Instruction, Singapore Math, and the Ontario Math Curriculum.
What are my hobbies and interests?
I like fitness, beauty, hiking, travelling, painting, swimming, spending time with my family and friends, and learning new practical skills.
One fun fact about me!
I have a twin brother and I hold a second-degree black belt in karate.

I coach children on math using the standard approach. I offer a customized 8-week program to address your child's needs and goals. I also offer tutoring sessions. What are my educational beliefs?
I believe that every student is intelligent in their own way. I like to tailor my teaching approach to my students’ learning strengths, interests, and personality/energy. I also believe that education should be fun. Creative and interactive lessons are the most memorable for students and are typically the types of lessons that help students effectively.
