About Rouf
I am a fully qualified teacher with 17 years teaching experience. I am a dedicated teacher who enjoys teaching and learning. I solemnly believe that teachers should assist students to develop their intellect so that they are able to think and reflect independently (as of 2017 the exam boards and governments are pushing for this too).
On a personal note I enjoy reading a wide variety of topics and devote myself to voluntary work. My outdoor pursuits and hobbies include running, climbing, camping, computer games, orienteering, football, paintballing, and adventurous holidays with friends and family.

My approach is to assess the strengths and weaknesses of my tutees so that I can build on their strengths and rectify any misconceptions. I then work on remedying students' weaknesses by leading them through the topics. I use questioning techniques to develop deeper knowledge. This method of teaching used to be called cognitive acceleration as it develops students' higher order thinking skills in the subject being taught.
I have a significant bank of resources at my disposal and thus I can teach using a variety of different techniques so that tutees can understand the topic rather than just rote learning!
