Depending on who I am teaching my teaching methodology will vary. However on the whole my lessons are structured by first explaining the theory, then giving a detailed example and finally having the student work through another practical example by themselves giving support where needed. I also believe it is essential to be patient and encouraging to allow the students confidence to grow as they learn.
