Math is a hard subject, which sometimes might require time and effort to understand the materials. I am here to help you feel comfortable and confident in doing homework/assignments and preparing for tests/exams. But that does not mean students should rely on me all the time. As a tutor, I would encourage independence, letting students know that they must put forth an effort to benefit from tutoring.

Each student has a different background, a different mindset and a different way of thinking so it requires me, as a tutor, to be able to adapt myself to every case. Since there is no pre-determined formula, the tutor's approach must depend on the students' needs and the particular difficulties that they experience.
I am most comfortable with math from K-12. Math is a difficult subject. It is important to have the ability to make students visualize a challenging problem in a simpler way. Depending on what platform I am teaching on, I can use my iPad to demonstrate or (virtual) whiteboard.
