About Nyla
Hello! My name is Nyla, and I have been interested in Computer Science subjects since I was young. After a majority of my middle school and high school career has been spent helping my peers with understanding subject matter in chemistry, Java programming, and Python programming, I decided to venture out into the more formal aspect of tutoring. I began to tutor kids that were interested in these areas through my school and decided that I wanted to help children outside of my school district with their academic journey on STEM aspects by becoming a tutor on SuperProf. There is nothing with more importance and a widespread than knowledge, which I want to spread this privilege everywhere.

I use an active learning style in my sessions; I focus on keeping them engaged and building on core concepts in the subjects. I build upon prior knowledge that the student has by asking about their experience and what they currently know before building a lesson plan consisting of tips, strategies, practice questions, and examples with solutions for different concepts. I want to help teach them the concept that they need help on without simply providing the solution. Instead, I help the processing and progress to the solution. My sessions are targeted to middle schoolers who are garnering interest in the subjects and high school students that are beginning in the subject or are having difficulties.
