I am a senior developer. Usually I start with finding out what status the student is in. I often find it very important that the students learn how to learn. This is mostly individual, as everyone has to find their own method. For example, there are students who learn better by writing everything down on paper, while others find it better to have everything explained several times by a third person. When this has become clear, I like to approach the weaknesses and try to explain everything in a way that would best suit my counterpart. I always use English language for students. IT language is English!
