About Kanishka
As an undergraduate student at the University of Glasgow, I’ve developed a solid academic foundation that allows me to confidently teach GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, as well as A-Level Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. With more than a year of experience tutoring students in Talent Pool Academy, I’ve learned how to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning needs and help others truly understand the material. I know how to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, and I’m patient and encouraging when guiding students through challenging topics. I’ve already made a positive impact on those I’ve taught, and I should trust in my ability to continue helping others grow and succeed. My teaching style and techniques: I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to match individual needs and goals. I use a mix of clear explanations, interactive exercises, and real-life examples to make learning both practical and engaging. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and apply what they’ve learned, rather than just memorising facts. My methodology combines step-by-step guidance with independent practice, ensuring that students feel supported but also challenged to grow. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though I can adjust depending on the student’s focus and availability. Each session usually includes a quick review of the previous lesson, an introduction of new concepts, guided practice, and a short recap to check understanding. I have more than 16 months of tutoring/teaching experience, working with students from Year 1 to Year 13. Over the year, I’ve helped learners improve their academic performance, prepare for exams, and build confidence in areas they once found difficult. Whether you’re looking for help catching up, preparing for exams, or exploring a subject more deeply, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are and guide you forward. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and motivating environment where learning feels approachable, personalised, and rewarding.
