I typically start with a quick recap or diagnostic question. Then, I transition to a concept breakdown, where I explain concepts with visuals or analogies. Then I guide them through practice problems collaboratively, going through the reasonings. Additionally, I apply independent Practice for students to apply skills while I provide targeted feedback. Finally, I summarize key takeaways and assign optional reinforcement.
I emphasize the process over the answers. Students learn how to approach unfamiliar problems with structure and logic. My approach builds autonomy and confidence rather than dependency on the tutoring.
