About Julius
Hello!
My name is Julius, I am 24 years old and come from Germany. 2.5 years ago I moved to Oslo, and I quickly fell in love with the country and the culture here. I have just completed a master's degree in piano at the Norwegian Academy of Music with Håvard Gimse. Now I continue as a singing student at the Oslo National Academy of Music.
I have always enjoyed teaching and have a lot of experience, both from cultural schools and universities. It gives me a lot to share knowledge, discuss music with students and help them find their own joy in it. For me, building a solid technique is just as important as developing a personal expression through music. I offer lessons both in my home and online.
As a pianist, I already have extensive concert experience, both as a soloist and chamber musician, especially in collaboration with singers. I have participated in several music festivals in Norway (including the Oslo Chamber Music Festival and the Hardanger Music Festival) and was recently a finalist in the International Vocal Competition in the Netherlands.
I passed the Norwegian B2 test two years ago, and I speak fluent Norwegian, German and English.

I have extensive teaching experience, both with young people and adults, from art schools to university level. As a teacher, I emphasize meeting each student where they are, and combining solid technique with the development of a personal musical expression. Through my background as both a pianist and singer, as well as broad experience as a chamber musician, especially in collaboration with singers, I can offer a holistic approach to music. My goal is to give students the tools to interpret and communicate music in a way that feels real and meaningful to them.
