About Michael
I am a concert pianist with a passion for teaching who recently received my Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the Yale School of Music. From a boarding arts secondary school to prestigious conservatories in both the US and Europe, I have honed my craft, and developed a love for sharing my passion with others. I have with some of the best teachers in the world at Eastman, the Yale School of Music, the Paris Conservatoire, and the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, in addition to having attended some of the greatest festivals in the world to study with other great pianists and pedagogues.

Teaching has always come naturally to me and has felt like a natural extension of my abilities as a performer. I have used methods including the ABRSM, Suzuki, Faber and Faber, as well as Alfred's among others. I believe in making learning fun but productive. The student's needs always come first, and I adapt to suit the needs of each individual student.
