About Tim
I'm a university lecturer, youth worker, published author, and experienced public speaker with a background in theology, philosophy, and the performing arts. Over the past 25 years, I’ve spoken at national conferences, schools and universities, think tanks, academic forums, churches, theatres, weddings, and community events—helping a wide range of audiences engage with complex ideas in clear, compelling ways. Alongside my teaching and speaking work, I coach individuals in public speaking, communication, and presentation skills. I’ve worked as a drama coach, elevator pitch writer, journal editor, and mentor, supporting students and professionals alike to grow in confidence and clarity. My approach is thoughtful, encouraging, and well-informed. I understand the science behind how we speak and how others listen—but more importantly, I know how to help people overcome fear, find their voice, and speak with honesty and presence. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, I bring experience, insight, and genuine care to every session.

I offer focused, empowering public speaking coaching designed to help you speak with clarity, courage, and your own authentic voice. Whether you're preparing for a talk, sermon, pitch, performance, or panel, I tailor each session to your personality, goals, and context. With over 25 years of public speaking experience—including keynote talks, academic lectures, think tanks, drama and theatre, charity pitches, and national conferences—I bring practical insight and creative strategies to every session. I'm not here to train you to copy someone else's style. I’m passionate about helping people find their voice and use it well. My sessions draw on a deep understanding of how listener attention works, what makes communication memorable, and how voice and presence are shaped by your biology and nervous system. We’ll explore posture, breath, rhythm, story, tone, and silence—tools not tricks—to help you speak with presence, not just polish. I’ve worked with introverts, people with stage fright, and students with additional needs including autism, ADHD. I've also worked with people with a variety of mental health struggles such as PTSD, and anxiety. Sessions are flexible, and encouraging, with lots of room to grow at your pace. Lessons are usually 60 minutes and suitable for anyone aged 14+, from students and professionals to performers, preachers, and nervous first-timers.
