About Arnab

I’m a University of Melbourne M.Arch graduate with experience across some of Australia’s leading architecture and construction firms, including COX Architecture, ARM Architecture, Multiplex and West to West Group.

My experience spans major hospitals, transport infrastructure, education, sports facilities, Build-to-Rent and high-end architectural apartment projects. I’ve worked across concept design, design development, technical coordination, building permits, quality assurance and on-site construction delivery.

I’m currently a Design Coordinator in Perth, working across premium residential developments and coordinating architects, engineers, consultants and construction teams to turn complex designs into buildable outcomes.

Having worked on both the architect and builder sides of the industry, I can help students bridge the gap between university design thinking and how architecture actually gets designed, coordinated and built in the real world.

About the lesson

I believe great architecture starts with a strong idea. My teaching focuses on helping you think clearly, develop your concept logically and turn early ideas into a convincing design.

Every project has a story. Together, we’ll find yours, develop it and communicate it confidently through drawings, diagrams and presentations.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the teacher's students.

Perfect! I’ve had a really positive experience learning from Arnab. His teaching methods were always clear and practical, and he explained things in a way that made even complicated ideas much easier to understand. From developing my school design project and improving my software skills to learning how to format drawings properly, our meetings helped me to do much better at uni. Arnab also shared useful advice from his own experience in the industry, which gave me a better understanding of how things work in real projects. Even in the construction unit, his insights made the content more meaningful and easier to apply. Overall, I’ve gained a lot from his support, and it’s definitely improved my skills and confidence as a student.

Perfect! Arnab was a patient, understanding, knowledgeable and skilled architect mentor.

He shared his knowledge of architecture in real life situations to boost the understanding of uni projects. He clearly and patiently explained the elements of Revit and his knowledge of design thinking and processing.

Architecture is about not only the criteria but the message behind the design and Arnab helps him open that real side of architecture.

Danny is very passionate and wants to learn about design thinking from a perspective of his lived experiences. We have worked together over the course of a month, to help him prepare for his second semester project, which aimed to foster a holistic living environment for a proposed retirement village in Brunswick North.

We touched about many facets of his project, and worked with him to prepare for his final presentation poster.

I worked with Violet for an interior design project and helped her understand the design process through the journey. She was very kind and thoughtful to have agreed to work with me though to the completion of the project.

Beyond design tutoring, I also share practical insight into the architecture profession — including the realities of working in leading Tier 1 practices, the opportunities and challenges within the industry, and the transition from university into professional practice.

My aim is not only to help you become a stronger designer, but also to give you a clearer understanding of where architecture can take you and how to navigate the profession with confidence.
