About Julia Claver

I grew up in a bilingual household, my dad was born and raised in Spain and we visit our Spanish family every summer. Spanish was, in fact, my first language. Thanks to that I am fluent in this language and have a strong "typical" Spanish accent spoken by the majority of Spaniards :)

In 2021 I completed the MESTER Valladolid course for ELE (Español Lengua Extranjera - Spanish as a foreign language) teachers.

I have been giving lessons for a year now. I am a very sociable and talkative person, I really like meeting new people and we will definitely have a nice time talking in Spanish :D

About the lesson

My priority is to make the lessons pleasant and interesting for you but at the same time challenging and developing.

By means of authentic written texts and audio-visual materials suited to your areas of interest we will start building your foundations so that you can speak fluently and communicate with more confidence.

I put the main emphasis on speaking, forming sentences and getting the student to talk! :D And, of course, I will help out with the vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation right away.

My lessons are primarily suited for:

- intermediate students (B1 / B2), as they already have a decent grasp of grammar and a fairly rich vocabulary, and they need to come in contact with the spoken language so that they can improve

- advanced students (B2 + / C1) who have difficulties implementing their extensive theoretical knowledge of the language in practice, and / or would like to work on their accent

- beginners (from at least A2 - A2 +) who have had some contact with the language, and wish to start speaking (and with a correct pronunciation) as soon as possible.

The lessons will be conducted mainly in Spanish limiting the use of English to a minimum, in order to devote as much time as possible to Spanish :)

I know Julia Claver personally and i can tell you with certainty that she is a very dedicated person who puts a lot of time, work and thought into her classes. She is very charismatic and tries to connect with the students and make the classes interesting and engaging. Also, as she is a native spanish speaker, I think she is a very good fit for a conversations teacher.
