About Tamdingw

I'm Tamding, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant with over 20 years of experience in corporate credit risk, financial analysis, and banking across India, the US, and the Middle East. My career has taken me through roles including Corporate Credit Manager, Internal Audit Manager, and Senior Credit Consultant at institutions like Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and CRISIL (an S&P Global company), giving me a front-row seat to how accounting, auditing, and financial reporting standards actually play out in practice.

I started teaching because I kept meeting talented professionals who understood their work but struggled to translate that knowledge into exam-ready answers for the CPA. I've been helping candidates prepare for the Uniform CPA Examination since 2025, and I genuinely enjoy the moment when a concept finally clicks for a student who's been stuck on it for weeks.

Outside of teaching, I hold a CFA Level 1 certification and an MBA in International Business, and I stay closely engaged with global finance and accounting standards through my ongoing work in credit risk analysis. I believe good teaching comes from real experience, patience, and genuinely caring whether a student succeeds — and that's what I try to bring to every lesson.
I teach exclusively online, so I can work with students anywhere in the US on their schedule.

About the lesson

My approach connects exam concepts to how they're actually used in the real world of finance, so the material sticks — not just memorization, but understanding the "why" behind the rules. I bring 20+ years of experience in corporate credit analysis, financial statement review, and audit work into every session, using real case studies rather than textbook examples alone.

A typical lesson starts with a quick check on where you're stuck, moves into a focused walkthrough of the concept, then practice questions where we focus on reasoning, not just right answers. I close with a clear action plan for what to review before we meet next.

What sets me apart: I hold the CPA and CMA credentials myself, but my career has been built in corporate credit risk and financial analysis — two decades of hands-on work at institutions across the US, UK, and Middle East. That real-world grounding means I can explain not just what a rule says, but how it's actually applied.
