About Mel
I am an architect and designer with years of drawing and art under my belt from IGCSE to A Levels. I have also taught children age 5 - 7, and 10 - 17, as well as young adults ages 17 to 25. I have enjoyed inspiring others to create and helping everyone overcome any fears of a blanc page or canvas.

My method is to help students to overcome their fears of a blanc canvas through collaborative work and abstract exercises that show them they can do it. I then like to work within the desires of the student and often share my own work and work alongside students which has had the effect of both teaching (through observation) and inspiring my students.
I have also carried out online or virtual critiques to guide students in their progress from a distance. This include viewing progress photographs and discussing with them the areas in which to focus more detail or make slight adjustments if needed to assist in achieving accuracy in perspective and proportion. Sometime suggestions of techniques and colours have been made in order to guide their work for their greatest confidence in their ability.
