About Jesse

"Orchestral silence reveals the subtle tension in a musician's stance, which is why I prioritize deep listening after 10 years of professional performance. Helping students refine left hand agility and shifting positions creates the foundation for complex bowing technique and precise ear training. When I left the Midwest orchestral circuit to teach full-time, I realized that sight reading and rhythm are merely tools for expression.

Tuning by ear and mastering spiccato or staccato bowing remains a quiet obsession of mine, reflecting my Suzuki training across 5 levels. Music feels like a conversation where I constantly learn from the curious students I guide."

About the lesson

"You will find that your weekly practice modules serve as the roadmap for our technical development. These 6 segments focus on building a bridge between your formal classical training and the infectious energy of bluegrass or Cajun fiddling.

Since I spent 10 years in the professional circuit, I emphasize how specific adjustments produce different sonic textures. We utilize these recurring assignments to ensure you gain consistency between our interactions. Developing your unique voice through this blend of styles requires patience and consistent focus. I look forward to exploring this musical path with you."
