About Justin

I have a unique story. 6 years ago I suffered a stroke which required two brain surgeries. Although minor, the stroke left me with some facial paralysis and coordination issues. Although a traumatic experience I can confidently say that I am a better person now, and I wouldn’t trade what happened to me with anything. We truly are a product of our experiences. You might find this hard to believe, but although I may have gone through some trauma, this has only made me more grateful, and definitely has made me a stronger and better man. I live everyday with excitement and passion, and I live every day to the fullest. This is a big reason why I’ve decided to teach. I truly want to inspire people and share with them my passion for English literature and creative writing. I am very excited to be here teaching you and look forward to the challenge ahead!

About the lesson

Do you want to improve your proficiency in the English language? If you answered yes to any of these questions then welcome, you’ve found your new teacher. My name is Justin Occhionero and I’m currently writing a short story collection. I studied English literature in University and held a 3.5 GPA. Most of my elected classes were focussed on modern literature and poetry. I will be completely honest with you by saying I have little teaching experience. But I believe this to be a plus here. I envision an environment focussed on the students and I plan on utilizing my creative tendencies to engage students in ways a seasoned, more orthodox teacher could never do. Unlike veterans, I can offer a unique teaching experience that I promise will be unmatched by anyone else on here.
