About Rebecca
I'm a 3rd year university student at McMaster University pursing a Bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering. I have been tutoring since high school and have completed all levels of calculus up until and including calc 4. I have also completed multiple university level physics courses including statics, dynamics, and electricity and magnetism. I can help you with homework, assignments, and preparing for tests and exams.

During my lesson I usually begin by reviewing the topic(s) that will be covered and identifying the areas of concern. The next step I take is to try to explain the concept as clear as I can and in a way my student can understand. I like to use various types of examples to help illustrate the topics. I then start to introduce practice problems, slowly increasing the complexity. I try to tailor my lessons to the student and adjust my teaching style so that it aligns with their learning preferences and needs. Whether the student learns best through visual aids, hands-on practice, or detailed explanations, I aim to adapt my approach to ensure they grasp the material. By creating a supportive and interactive environment, I encourage them to ask questions and engage with the content actively. My goal is not only to help them solve problems but also to build their confidence and develop critical thinking skills that they can apply independently. I can teach high school physics, any level of middle school and high school mathematics (including calculus), as well as first year university calculus.
