About Daniel
All through my school years I love 2 things: Math an history. I especially loved math because there is always 1 true answer and probably more than 50 different ways to get to that answer depending on who the individual child processes things. I will never try to for a child to learn 1 specific way that doesn't work for them because even if they eventually get the correct answer, they will not remember how they got there the very next time it comes up. My goal is to find the PROCESS that works for your child then teach them to find the right answers using their own method every time. Trying to force someone to learn the way other's want them to learn is a recipe for wrong answers, guessing, hating the subject, and in the long-run making the student feel inferior.

A typical lesson would entail reviewing the material the student is struggling with, then having a short dialogue with the student about in what was the current teacher is confusing them or failing to reach them with how the problems are being presented. Next, I would work with the student on alternative ways to solves the problems that works well with the way their individual brain comprehends things. With most math problems, there are numerous ways to work towards the right answer and I take my time with each individual to find that sweet spot of learning. I work very well with kids who have learning differences such as ADD, ADH, dyslexia, and many others (as I grew up suffering through school with a severe learning difference of my own).
