About Ross

I am a first year UCD student who aspires to be a future Spanish and Italian teacher. Ever since taking Spanish in my first year of Secondary school, I loved everything Spanish. By second year, I had changed my phone into Spanish and began watching Spanish TV shows and films. In 5th year, however, my love for the language really blossomed into what it is today. My Spanish teacher was inspirational and with her help, we came 3rd in a national Spanish competition. As our prize, my best friend and I spent a week in Salamanca with our teacher, with Spanish classes by day, and city exploration by night.
I understand not everyone has this same love or draw towards Spanish and I don't expect everyone to be fluent from the get go. I aim to be a path through which students can allow their language journey to transition into the next phase and not just merely be another Leaving Cert subject, but a real life tool that can bring countless opportunities to their lives.

About the lesson

Lessons will range from tackling the various reading comprehensions to structuring and preparing for the Section B opinion piece. Students will gain insights that helped me achieve my result and also be granted access to all the worksheets and examples I made/used for my exam. All tenses will be covered with a detailed explanation for each, with even the subjunctive going from a daunting and onerous task, to something students will be able to employ with confidence.
Lessons will be tailored to suit the level of the student and they will not be something that will burden them, instead they will guide them to recognise and realise their potential.
Lessons will be roughly 1hr and typically held Thursday or Friday afternoon, although accommodations may be able to be made.
