About me
Hey! I'm Aarnav, a passionate and dedicated student tutor with a deep love for mathematics and sciences. Outside of academics, I like to relax by swimming and watching cricket. As an enthusiastic learner and adept educator, my goal is to unlock the mysteries of A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and GCSE sciences for my students, making these subjects not only understandable but also enjoyable.

About the lesson

Educational Background

I am currently pursuing an integrated masters in Mathematical Computation at University College London. In my A-Levels, I achieved 3 A*s(Edexcel Maths, Further Maths, AQA Chemistry) and 2 A grades(AQA EPQ , AQA Physics) alongside nine Grade 9s in my GCSEs. My comprehensive understanding of the core concepts combined with my practical experience allows me to offer students a unique perspective that goes beyond textbooks!

Passion for Teaching

I firmly believe that every student has the potential to grasp complex ideas if they are presented in the right way. My teaching approach is tailored to each student's individual learning style, ensuring that they not only understand the material but also retain it for their exams and beyond. I'm committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where questions are encouraged, curiosity is nurtured, and success is inevitable. I have had lots of experience helping students achieve those top grades as both a freelance tutor and as a maths and science prefect in my sixth form.

Areas of Expertise

A-Level and GCSE Maths: From trigonometry to algebra to stats and mechanics, I guide students through the intricacies of A-Level and GCSE Maths, breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps. Whether it's differentiation, geometry, or solving complex statistics questions, I'm here to help students master the subject.

A-Level Further Maths: The advanced realm of Further Maths can seem intimidating, but I make it accessible. I cover topics like Second Order Differential Equations, complex numbers, and proof techniques, instilling confidence in students to tackle even the most abstract problems. The options that I offer to tutor are Decision Maths 1 and Further Statistics 1 alongside Core Pure 1 and 2.

A-Level Chemistry: Chemistry is all about understanding the building blocks of the universe. With practical examples and real-world applications, I make the periodic table come alive. From chemical bonding to organic chemistry, I provide a solid foundation for students to excel.

GCSE Sciences(Physics, Chemistry, Biology): Science is all around us, and I’m here to make it fascinating and understandable. With interesting explanations and engaging lessons, I cover the intricacies of physics, the wonders of chemistry, and the mysteries of biology. From atoms to ecosystems, I’ll simplify complex ideas, ensuring you are well prepared for exams.

Teaching Methodology

My tutoring sessions are interactive and dynamic. Each session will include me teaching a core topic(which will have flash cards and notes attached where applicable) and then a homework sheet which will consist of a mix of past paper questions and custom made questions on that topic. I emphasize problem-solving and critical thinking, as these skills are invaluable not only in exams but also in future academic pursuits.

Beyond Academics

I believe in holistic growth. Beyond academics, I encourage my students to develop strong study habits, time management skills, and a growth mindset. I am here to mentor, inspire, and support them on their journey to success.
