About Karn

I’m a passionate storyteller who grew up enjoying animated films and the way they bring ideas and emotions to life. Over time, this interest led me to pursue 3D animation, where I developed a deeper appreciation for the creative process behind storytelling. Through learning and working with 3D, I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to turn ideas into stylized visuals, and that experience is what motivates me to help others do the same :)

I aim to make 3D accessible to people who may not have any prior background in 3D animation, as I also started without much experience myself. Because of that, I understand the challenges beginners face and focus on making the learning process clear and approachable.

My animated short film was selected for Deakin Visionnaire, which reflects my experience in creating stylized work and storytelling through 3D. I have also applied my skills outside of university, using 3D for event promotions and creating assets for physical production such as 3D printed objects.

I have a relaxed and supportive teaching style, encouraging questions and open discussion. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace without feeling pressured, while still building confidence in their skills.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals in 3D animation and Blender. Rather than only showing how to do something, I explain why things work, so students can develop a deeper understanding and become more independent in their learning.

The goal of my lessons is to give students a solid foundation across key areas of Blender, including modeling, simple sculpting, lighting, composition, basic keyframing, and introductory rigging. This allows students to fully understand the tool, so they can confidently explore their own interests and specialise later on.

Each session typically runs between 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing enough time to properly understand concepts and apply them in practice.

I have experience working with beginners and take a flexible, patient approach to teaching. I adapt to each student’s pace, encourage questions, and aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel supported.

My lessons are designed for complete beginners who are new to Blender or 3D modeling and want to learn in a structured, stress-free way.
