About Abraham
About Me
My name is Abraham, and I am a Dean's List Computer Science student at Eastern Mennonite University, graduating in May 2026. I have hands-on industry experience as a Software Engineering intern at Morgan Stanley, where I built systems serving over 5,000 users, and I will be joining Palo Alto Networks as a full-time Software Engineer in August 2026.
Beyond my technical background, I have extensive teaching experience. I have instructed adult refugees in programming through Church World Service, supervised high school students at programming camps, and mentored peers throughout my academic career as President of my university's Computer Science Career Club.
I am patient, structured, and genuinely invested in every student's progress. I understand that learning mathematics and computer science can feel overwhelming — I have been there myself. That experience drives me to explain concepts clearly, build confidence gradually, and make every lesson feel approachable rather than intimidating.
Whether you are a middle school student tackling algebra for the first time, a high school student preparing for AP exams, or a college student working through data structures and algorithms, I will meet you at your level and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
You are in good hands.

My Teaching Approach
Hi, I'm Abraham! I'm a Dean's List Computer Science student at Eastern Mennonite University, a former Morgan Stanley Software Engineering intern, and an incoming Software Engineer at Palo Alto Networks. But more importantly, I've been teaching and mentoring students in programming and mathematics for years; including instructing adult refugees through Church World Service, and I genuinely love helping people have their "aha" moments.
Teaching Method & Techniques
I believe in learning by doing. Rather than lecturing, I break down complex concepts into simple, relatable pieces and immediately apply them through real examples and hands-on practice. I adapt my style to each student — visual diagrams for some, step-by-step walkthroughs for others. I ask guiding questions rather than giving answers outright, which builds true understanding and confidence.
A Typical Lesson
Quick review of previous material and addressing lingering questions
Introduction of the new concept with a real-world connection
Worked examples together, progressively increasing in difficulty
Student attempts problems independently while I provide live feedback
Wrap-up with a summary and personalized practice assignments
What Sets Me Apart
I've been a student recently enough to remember exactly what's confusing. My industry experience at Morgan Stanley and upcoming role at Palo Alto Networks means I connect classroom concepts to real-world applications. I've also taught students from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels, so I know how to meet you exactly where you are.
Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and college students studying math, programming, or computer science. Whether you're struggling with algebra, learning Python for the first time, preparing for AP CS, or tackling data structures — I can help. I also welcome adult learners looking to break into tech.
