About Matilde

My name is Matilde, and I have always loved math because it feels both logical and comforting—there is always an answer, and sometimes all it takes is looking at a problem from a different perspective. As a high school student who excels in algebra and advanced math, I understand the struggles many students face and how frustrating it can be when concepts don’t click right away. I plan to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer, and I bring that same passion for problem-solving into my tutoring. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident, motivated, and capable of mastering math. With patience, clarity, and a focus on understanding rather than memorization, I help each student build both skills and self-assurance.

Hi, my name is Matilde, and I’m a high school student who excels in math, especially algebra. My approach as a tutor is to make math less intimidating and more enjoyable by breaking down problems into clear, simple steps. I focus on building strong foundations so that my students don’t just memorize formulas but truly understand how and why math works.

A typical lesson starts with reviewing what you already know, identifying areas where you feel stuck, and then practicing with step-by-step guidance.Each session ends with a quick recap and a few practice problems to reinforce what we covered.

What sets me apart is that, as a student myself, I understand the challenges you face. I make lessons fun, supportive, and tailored to your pace, while also giving you strategies to stay confident during homework, quizzes, and exams.

My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students who want extra support in math or need a boost in algebra, whether you’re catching up, preparing for tests, or aiming to get ahead.
