About Teach

It's true my student visa lets me look at different jobs, but my focus is 100% on teaching. Why? Because I've got a deep, decade-long passion for it—it’s my true calling. Teaching isn't just work for me; it's the most fulfilling way I can use my skills and energy to actually help people. My background is firmly in the education system back in Nepal, where I spent ten years actively engaging with students, primarily teaching Chemistry and Science to the equivalent of Grade 9 and 10. In all that time, there’s nothing better than seeing that "aha!" moment on a student's face—when a confusing concept suddenly just clicks. Being a direct partner in a student’s success is a truly transformative experience, and honestly, no other job gives me that feeling. Moving to the UK gave me the perfect chance to bring the supportive, relationship-focused teaching style I built in Nepal and mix it with the rigorous UK curriculum. I’m excited to make sure students don't just pass their exams, but walk away with a real, lasting understanding of their subjects. Simply put, I stick to the classroom—physical or virtual—because I get to use my best skills instantly: mentoring, making things clear, and inspiring young minds. While other work is available, I believe my true purpose—and where I can deliver the most value—is right here, fostering the next generation of successful students.

My philosophy is simple: Science isn't just a subject, it's a way of seeing the world. After a decade of truly delighted experience teaching in Nepal, I’ve found that the best way for students to succeed is to stop them from memorising and start them understanding. I blend time-tested Nepalese teaching methods—which often focus on strong conceptual foundations—with the specific demands of the UK curriculum. The goal? To turn confusing topics like Chemistry into something clear, logical, and even exciting. My sessions are always interactive and highly personalised. I use a few key methods to make sure every lesson counts: The "Why" Before the "How": We always start by exploring the real-world applications of a concept (e.g., how the chemical reaction of baking soda works in the kitchen). This makes the content relevant and the learning stick. Inquiry-Based Problem Solving: I won't just give you the answer. I use targeted, encouraging questions to guide you to the solution yourself. This builds true confidence and independent thinking. Digital Power: I use online tools, simulations, and whiteboards to vividly demonstrate complex experiments and processes, which is just as effective as being in a lab. Lesson Length and Structure I find that 90 minutes is the sweet spot. It gives us enough time to introduce a new idea, work through challenging exam-style questions, and still have a dedicated period for review and Q&A without rushing. For a quick booster, a 60-minute focused session also works well. I focus on students at the level where the material really starts to count: Students: Generally ages 14 to 17. Focus: Students tackling GCSE, IGCSE, or equivalent courses in Science and Chemistry. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology with a Chemistry major and bring a full decade of active teaching experience. I'm here to translate that success into strong results for you in the UK system.
