About Cheryl
Over the years, I've learned that students enjoy guitar more when they can connect with the music they are playing. That is why I try to balance technical skills with creativity and personal interests.
I have a Music Degree and 8 years of teaching experience with teenagers and adult students. Working with different learners has helped me understand how important patience and encouragement are during the learning process.
I love seeing students achieve small goals, whether it's playing their first song or improving a challenging technique. Helping them enjoy music and develop their own style is what makes teaching rewarding.

During my guitar lessons, I help students build their playing skills through practical learning and songs they enjoy. Each class is adjusted to your level, so you can improve comfortably while learning techniques that match your goals.
We'll practise chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle playing, rhythm guitar, picking techniques, lead guitar skills, improvisation, songwriting basics, and music theory. We can spend time learning a favourite song, improving a difficult section, or exploring new ways to create music.
I'll share simple practice routines and helpful feedback after every lesson. With regular practice, you'll develop better control, stronger technique, and the confidence to play songs you enjoy.
