About Dr Clint
Prior to becoming a certified professional coach, educator and tutor, I practiced for nearly twenty years as a clinical psychologist. I earned two masters degrees and a doctorate in clinical psychology along with two board certifications (ABPP), and a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology (FAACP).
I possess two Master's Degrees, a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology along with over two decades of serving others. I am an actualization coach with specialty in mental, physical and spiritual health and wellness. I work empower my clients to effect positive change in their lives.
Despite having reached the pinnacle of my profession after nearly two decades of practice, it was my own struggle with learning disabilities, dual diagnosis and other medical conditions and issues, that changed my perspective and my life. I came to appreciate a treatment approach which focuses on the here and now; solution focused and goal oriented. I found little solace in traditional therapeutic approaches which focused largely on the past, and went on for months with no real relief nor positive impact on my life or functioning. As such, I strive to help my clients achieve their goals and actualize their dreams.

Teaching Method and Techniques
My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and highly personalized. I focus on helping students truly understand the material rather than memorizing it. I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and adapt my explanations to match how each student learns best. I use real world examples, guided practice, and active discussion to keep lessons engaging and practical. My goal is to build confidence alongside competence so students feel capable, not overwhelmed.
Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson begins with a quick check in to assess understanding and identify any problem areas. We then review key concepts, followed by focused instruction on new material or challenging topics. I incorporate practice questions, examples, or assignments during the session to reinforce learning in real time. Lessons end with a recap, clarification of remaining questions, and a clear plan for what to work on next. Sessions are flexible and adjusted based on progress and goals.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I possess two masters degrees in addition to a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I was a professor at Rutgers University Medical School and have both clinical, teaching, research and supervision experience.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain difficult material in a clear, relatable way while creating a low pressure learning environment. I am patient, attentive, and invested in each student’s success. I tailor every session to the individual rather than using a one size fits all approach. Students often tell me they finally understand topics that previously felt impossible, and that they leave sessions feeling more confident and prepared.
Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for high school, college, and adult learners. I work with students at various levels, including introductory, intermediate, and advanced coursework, depending on the subject. Lessons are ideal for students who need extra support, exam preparation, help with assignments, or a deeper understanding of the material. I also work well with students who feel anxious, stuck, or discouraged and want clear guidance and steady progress.
