About Paulette
Hello! My name is Dr. Paulette Green, and I am a registered nurse and nursing educator with more than 38 years of nursing experience and over a decade of experience teaching nursing students.
Throughout my career, I have taught students at the vocational, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate levels in both classroom and clinical settings.
My passion is helping nursing students develop the confidence, critical thinking, and study skills necessary to succeed in nursing school and beyond.

My teaching approach focuses on student success through individualized instruction, active learning, and practical application. I believe students learn best when complex concepts are broken down into manageable steps and connected to real-world nursing practice. I use case studies, NCLEX-style questions, concept mapping, test-taking strategies, and clinical reasoning exercises to help students understand the "why" behind nursing concepts rather than simply memorizing information.
I also work with students to improve time management, study habits, and note-taking techniques, and to develop strategies to reduce test anxiety. My goal is to help students become confident, independent learners.
Each tutoring session begins with identifying the student's specific goals and areas of difficulty. We review course content, discuss challenging concepts, and apply knowledge using practice questions and clinical scenarios.
Sessions often include:
• Review of difficult topics or course material
• NCLEX-style practice questions with detailed rationales
• Clinical judgment and critical thinking exercises
• Test-taking and study strategies
• Development of personalized study plans
• Goal setting and progress evaluation
Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual learning style and academic needs.
My combination of extensive clinical experience and years of nursing education allows me to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world nursing practice. I have taught all levels of nursing students, developed student success programs, served as a mentor for nursing professionals, and participated as an NCLEX item writer. I understand the challenges nursing students face and provide both academic support and practical strategies that promote long-term success.
