About Germaine
Orchestral playing, spiccato and staccato bowing, bowing technique, tuning by ear, tone production, shifting positions, vibrato, and grade exam prep form the core of my technical practice. Holding a BMus Music Performance degree from the Eastman School of Music, I have spent 13 years guiding students through the intricacies of the instrument. My pedagogical approach relies on a concept first philosophy to ensure that every movement serves a musical purpose.

Sometimes the hardest part of the violin is simply knowing where to start your daily practice. Beginning with a diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan helps me understand your unique physical relationship with the instrument.
