About Manuela

I hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Los Andes, Colombia, complemented by a minor in Pedagogy. Right now, I am doing a Masters in Sociology of Childhoods and Children Right´s in UCL.

I have extensive tutoring experience across different educational settings, primarily focused on supporting students from underserved communities in Colombia. As Director of the Empulsa Foundation, I coordinated over 130 virtual tutoring programs, where I developed curricula designed to keep students engaged and motivated. My role involved training volunteers and ensuring that students received the support they needed to improve academically.

Additionally, I provided individual tutoring at a private school in Bogotá, focusing on students who needed extra help in English and Spanish. I supported them in strengthening their reading and writing skills, helping them improve their academic performance.

I am passionate about my cultural background and my country. ¡I would love to teach you my native language!

About the lesson

I like to know what works for you! For that to happen, I will try to understand your learning style and rythm. Adittionally, I want o see the level of spanish you have so we can narrow the classes to your knowledge and abilities. Furthermore, I believe we learn better when we play and do fun activities. Thats why, I always try to have some activities during the tutorings hours. Enjoy and learn - great balance.
