About Yashashvi
I believe learning works best when it's built on curiosity rather than memorisation. I bring patience and openness to every lesson, taking the time to find the explanation that genuinely makes sense for each student, because no two people learn the same way, and I see that as part of the work, not an obstacle to it.
I take my role as a tutor seriously. I prepare carefully for every session, show up consistently, and stay invested in each student's progress rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach. I also believe in honesty over flattery: if something isn't working, I'll say so, and we'll figure out a better way forward together.
More than anything, I want students to leave each lesson having gained not just knowledge, but the confidence and skills to think critically, something that serves them well beyond exams.

My approach is built around questioning and discussion rather than lecturing. Instead of giving students facts to memorise, I help them dig into the "why" behind psychological theories — asking questions, weighing evidence, and forming their own arguments. This is exactly the kind of thinking that earns top marks in essay-based exams, and it makes the subject genuinely stick rather than just being crammed and forgotten. I keep things creative too, using real-world examples and discussion to make abstract ideas easy to grasp.
Lessons usually run 60 minutes, though I'm flexible — sessions can run longer for essay practice or exam revision when needed.
I hold a double Master's in Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies, with seven years spent studying the field in depth.
I teach students from GCSE through A-level, IB, and undergraduate level — generally ages 14 and up — including those prepping for exams, working on essays or coursework, or just wanting a stronger grip on the subject. Based in London and available for online sessions, I'm well-versed in UK exam boards and curriculum.
