About Jonny
I am currently a university student studying criminology. During my first 2 years of university I was in a cover band. From when I learnt the drums till now I have always been interested in sharing my passion with people. Drumming and music in general to me is not just a fun hobby, it is something that shapes the way we live and the emotions we feel. My philosophy is if you have a passion why not share it with others, many people might share your passion and just not know it yet. Having fun and allowing others to enjoy what I have for so many is the very foundation of why I have chosen to start teaching and knowing how hard it was for me to find a teacher I resonated with I'd like to allow all my students the time and patients they need to find the best way for them to learn.

Being a student myself I know how hard it can be to stay focused and I understand everyone has their own way of learning. I am not currently studying music so do not have an educational influence on how I teach. To me learning music is about loving what you are doing and making steady progress at your own rate. I was fortunate enough to have a very passionate, patient and understanding teacher through my drumming Journey and wish to pass this on to future students. Music theory is a part of music but feeling a song and playing by ear is the way I prefer to tackle drumming, it allows for much more adaptation and allows for harder songs to be played in an easier way, when not following written music. If you want to learn some theory, bash some drums and most importantly have fun no matter what music you are playing, my lessons will definitely be the ones for you.
