About Jacob

I'm a 23-year-old drummer with 10 years of playing experience and 7 years of gig and studio experience. My main background is in country, Christian, rock music, but still love playing genres like jazz, punk, pop punk, and metal. I've played shows in dive bars with only 10 people in the audience all the way up to shows for thousands at performance centers and conventions. I've also recorded many songs in studios, along with studio recordings of cover songs as well. I've spent my drumming career focused on a very diverse portfolio. I've been a church drummer for multiple churches, played in country bands, rock bands, pop punk bands, and was even in jazz band during high school. I developed a love for teaching drums after a few friends and family members wanted to learn after watching me play. They fell in love with it, and I'm sure you will too (if you aren't already!).

About the lesson

I love teaching people of all levels how to further their drumming skills! Whether you're a beginner just getting started or a bit more advanced and wanting to hone in on your skills, I can lead you to become a better drummer! Beginner highlights include: -basic drum knowledge -simple beats -sight reading -playing your favorite track by ear Advanced highlights include: -show/gig readiness -diversify your genre capabilities -studio prep -playing your favorite track by ear. I adapt to each student individually, so if there's something specific you want to learn, such as a specific song, we can make it happen!
