About Luis Gerardo

I started studying at the Veerkamp Music Academy with master genius Carlos Torrano who was a drummer of celebrities like Paulina Rubio and Mijares. He taught me for 6 years most of the things that served me forever.

I decided to focus years later to study drums professionally in the Academy of Music Fermatta and later in the University of Technology GMartell, nevertheless both institutions were not 100% committed in their academic promises and felt that I was only wasting my economic resources.

In both institutions I was 2 years respectively, 4 years in total. I have been a member of multiple bands, cover songs and original music without ever defining a project attractive enough. I gave up the bands I had and focused on being a session musician for recording studios. I am currently working as an Audio Engineer for Equis Cosa Producciones and as a session musician for Imago Studios.

About the lesson

Hi, how are you! My name is Luis Gerardo and I am an Audio Engineer at SAE Institute professionally.

I am also a professional drummer and session drummer with more than 14 years of experience playing a great variety of musical genres.

My methodology is composed of three main factors:
1. Independence of the four limbs and vocal coordination
2. Diversity and knowledge of musical genres
3. Professional performance of songs and reading.

After having studied in different institutions I have come to devise this methodology covers the most convinient and useful aspects when it comes to playing.
