About Jo

I am a committed saxophone tutor with 8 years of teaching experience and more than 300 students trained successfully. I teach high school and college students and take pride in helping beginners become confident performers. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students move from simple practice sessions to confident public performances at school and college events. Some of my students have also joined bands and music clubs, which marks a meaningful milestone in my teaching journey. My teaching style is clear, structured, and friendly. I focus on breath technique, tone quality, finger control, rhythm practice, and basic music theory. I believe each student has a unique learning speed, and I adjust my lessons to fit their needs. I always aim to create a warm and encouraging environment where students feel confident, motivated, and excited to learn music.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching approach is designed for long-term musical growth. I use simple communication to explain concepts clearly and help students understand every detail. I guide students with patience and positive support. Accountability keeps students disciplined and consistent. I give structured practice routines, weekly goals, and progress tracking to ensure steady improvement. Integrity means learning with honesty, respect, and dedication. I train students in proper breathing, posture, tone shaping, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and music reading. As students improve, they also learn improvisation, performance skills, and creative playing. Along with saxophone, I teach music theory, ear training, rhythm practice, and basic recording ideas. My aim is to prepare students for lifelong enjoyment and success in music.
