About Sophie
I love helping students learn and truly contributing to a student's development in learning, especially during the more developmental and foundational stages of a student's academic career. I have complete confidence in all of the students I have helped and will continue to help that they can do what they set their mind to! Although I am not an official teacher, I have gained a lot of hands-on experience with volunteering and communicating with teachers.

My favorite way to help students understand anything they are struggling with is to listen! Because I am still in school I understand how it feels to not receive the exact help you are looking for, so I do my absolute best to fully understand where I need to help!
I typically help with basic level homework such as Kindergarteners' and First Graders! With skills like basic reading, simple math problems, and writing simple letters. Especially because the age is so young, I would like to make the lessons simple and understandable and provide plenty of time for work and questions!
